who we are?
The Organisation pour le Développement Durable et la Biodiversité (ODDB) is a nongovernmental organization created in 2011 on the initiative of young Beninese convinced that there can be no sustainable development without the involvement and empowerment of local communities in the natural resources management.
We are a research-development organization in biodiversity conservation and valorization. We want to build a world where people live in harmony with nature in dignity, security and autonomy.
The ODDB NGO operates in three priority areas: biodiversity, conservation education and ecotourism. Our activities are focused on forests sheltering endangered primate species in Benin, which are used as the flagship species and "umbrella species" in our conservation programs with local people.
